We are Kevin McQuillan and Serena Arora. Both of us have had a robust, expansive experience and career in the field of yoga and wellness. We’ve learned from some of the best and are proud to share this invaluable information through our own lens. We’ve studied, taught, created, and led yoga classes, workshops, trainings, and experiences for over 35 combined years in communities all around the world, and don’t take our role as influential leaders in this field lightly.

When we met in 2016, we noticed that we both had strong yoga backgrounds in common, yet it was our complimentary differences that were in fact our strength. Together, we integrated the wisdom of yoga, science of Ayurveda and principles of human potential to create a holistic approach that supports, enhances, and sustains health and well-being on all levels. We knew that the world needed what we both had to offer…together.

Our vision is to build a community of supportive leaders, practitioners, and teachers who aren't afraid to be vulnerable and who wish to contribute. A community of people who know the power of authenticity and use it to create strong, purposeful, human connections through which we can all thrive.

We call it the Art of Living Well. And we're grateful to be able to do this important work.

As co-founder of Swastha Yoga International and the owner of Peace Retreat, an intimate, boutique-style sanctuary, Kevin develops meaningful and impactful offerings that empower and support yoga students, teachers, studio owners and individuals seeking to create more intentional personal and professional improvements.

With 15 years of experience as a yoga teacher specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy, Kevin uses core philosophy and open classroom therapeutic methods as the cornerstone of his teachings. His approach is designed to support and define the human experience in a way that creates greater levels of responsibility, expression, purpose, and quality of relationship. He has helped many people make monumental shifts through this unique motivational-based teaching approach.

Previously, Kevin served as Program Team Manager, Production Supervisor, and Facilitator for Baptiste Power Yoga Institute teacher training programs. He also founded and developed 3 yoga studios in Canada, as well as applied his extensive experience developing yoga programs for various yoga schools and studios in America.

Currently, he devotes his time to operating his retreat center, training teachers internationally, and being a dedicated father. In all three roles, he aims to live and teach with purpose, inclusivity, and passion.

Her yogi uncle in India once told her, “We don’t STUDY yoga, we ARE yoga.” And so began her life-long journey embodying the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda.

As a certified Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Health Practitioner, former academic school teacher, group home director, and yogapreneur for over 20 years, Serena brings a unique depth of knowledge, rich experience, intuitive leadership, and insightful passion to her offerings.

Her perspective on healing is informed by the wisdom of Ayurvedic Medicine, the functionality of yoga therapy, and the neuroscience of somatic & subtle body work. Both she and her offerings are dynamic, creative, and well-informed.

Her integrated approach is shaped by studying with many teachers and mentors around the world including Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Scott Blossom, Dr. Rajesh Kotecha, Dr. Terry Willard, Tias & Surya Little, Joseph & Lilian Lepage, Sri Geeta Iyengar, and especially her first ‘guru’, her dad.

Currently she lives in Costa Rica where she serves as creative director and resident Ayurvedic Practitioner for Peace Retreat and co-founder & lead trainer for Swastha Yoga International; teaching, inspiring, affecting change, and transforming lives through BEING yoga.
