About the Bestselling Book
Unbound is a #1 international bestselling memoir that traces Serena Arora’s journey from being a mixed-race immigrant daughter struggling to fit in, to becoming a mature woman grounded in her worth and inner authority. Through deeply personal narrative, Serena explores the impact of cultural conditioning, identity, and belonging on relationships, intimacy, and self-perception, particularly through the lens of what she calls “immigrit”, the unspoken rules inherited from her upbringing that taught her to shrink rather than shine.Â
In the book, Serena courageously untangles herself from the pull of generational expectations, cultural dissonance, and patterns of self-silencing. She shares her own painful yet empowering process of breaking free from these invisible constraints, honoring both the struggle and the transformation, and in doing so, offers readers a soulful guide for awakening, reconciliation, and belonging. Unbound invites women to remember who they truly are beneath years of conditioning, live more boldly, feel more deeply, and love more consciously.
At its heart, Unbound is an inspirational story of resilience, identity, and liberation, and a testament to how healing oneself can ripple into healing generations before and after.Â

Powerful.
Serena's story is incredibly moving. As the daughter of immigrant parents and having gone through caring for parent with Parkinson's disease myself, I relate to Serena's challenges in a profound way. She mentions in the book that her reason for sharing her story is to reach others like her, and I can attest to the impact of her message.

A beautiful, wild, inspiring rollercoaster journey.
What an incredible story! Vulnerable, honest, and so well written. Serena takes you on her personal journey, which is a beautiful, wild, and inspiring rollercoaster. She articulates concepts that are so relevant yet rarely characterized -- immigrit, immiguilt to name a few -- personally, being able to reflect on those and relate to what she went through was really special. There is something about feeling understood that I think many will resonate with in her journey. I couldn't put this down -- highly recommend!

An important book - highly recommend.
Reading Serena's story felt like a journey of forgiveness to myself. As a growing, healing woman, I couldn't NOT relate. Maybe my specific upbringing, patterns and programming look different, but the struggle felt very similar. Watching Serena zoom out and connect the through-lines of her journey helped me to find some grace for myself in mine. Pattern recognition, playing small, lineage, intergenerational trauma, and criticism are all part of my story as well. To watch Serena unravel these and "claim" them in a way helped me to have some grace and ease with myself as I attempt to do the same.

I’ve lived inside this story for years, so I can say with complete confidence...

Serena believes, when more women channel their inherited resources toward a sustainable, soul-led path, the more power they will hold to spark healing—within both themselves and the heart of humanity itself.
